The Mellotron is one of the most well known and easily recognized early legends. Using Analog tape to playback recorded instruments, it can be thought of as the first mainstream sampler. It's signature sound has shown up on hundreds of albums from the Beatles to Beck and has spanned decades of musical changes without ever going out of style.
This product includes 3 different Strings Sections from the M200, M300, and Mark2 models, plus the Mixed Voices and of course the famous Mellotron Flute. The download version includes select samples from all these instruments and are looped to conserve memory. The sounds on the Mellotron vintage Synth DVI sound almost exactly like a real mellotron, and there are a wide variety of samples to choose from. I will be using this DVi frequently.

I needed a mellotron sound for our new single and did not have any in my synths or vsi's. So I looked online and found the Mellotron Vintage. It is an easy and great sounding vsti. Because of the full working trail version I could test and use it to its fullest.

I love this DVI! Spent the first hour playing the intro to Strawberry Fields over and over. Drove my wife crazy! Huge bang for the buck!

I have always wanted a Melotron based sound. I was blown away with the free trial, so was my writing partner. Need that one sound or instrument that has to be great but not a wallet buster? you'll find it at SoniVox MI.

I purchased the Mellotron Vintage Synth Soundfont download, and I'm quite pleased with it, as the timbre of each instrument (strings, flute, and voices) sounds eerily like the trons of old, even including the slight scratchy hiss of heads on a tape.

I have used many Sonivox products in the past from the Blue Jay drum kits through to the Mellotron. For those times when you just want to get up,running and creating quickly they cannot be beaten.

The Mellotron is one of the most well known and easily recognized early legends. It's signature sound has shown up on hundreds of albums from the Beatles to Beck and has spanned decades of musical changes without ever going out of style. The Arp Solina String Ensemble is a product of the late 70's. This keyboard has been made famous by Elton John, The Eagles, New Order, and The Cure to name few.
Sonic Implants String Boxes CD-ROM contains a choice selection of sounds from the Mellotron tapes. All 8 seconds of every note is included! (Small memory versions also included.) Three different string recordings from the Mark2, the M200, and the M300, plus the Mixed Choir and of course the infamous Mellotron Flute. I just received my String Boxes CD-ROM from Sonic Implants.
It's got Melotron and Arp String Ensemble sounds galore on it. I'm beside myself with happiness. They sound really great. Lots of new "sounds" via Kurzweil-specific programming are included. Anyway, I congratulate the Sonic Implants folks, and recommend this CD highly.
