From the spiritual beat of Africa comes a sample library unlike any other. Atsiã includes African percussion instruments traditional to the Ewe Tribe of Ghana. The Ewe tribe is located in the Southeastern section of Ghana in the Volta region. Originally the songs and dances of the tribe were performed before war, but in modern times mostly for rituals and dance. "Atsiã", meaning "style" or "to display", is a social dance considered by most to be one of the oldest styles of dance and music in West Africa. It is a collection of songs and dances created by the Ewes, used in rituals and recreation for hundreds of years.
This unique, incredible collection was recorded at the legendary Blue Jay Studios through an SSL console. Stereo samples, natural ambience, heavily multi sampled with up to 4 velocity samples for each different type of hit. Also includes looped grooves of individual instruments, in both 4/4 and 6/8 time. Over 400 meg of samples!
All instrument hits and grooves were performed on authentic instruments, acquired by Joe Galeota on his many trips to Africa. Joe is an Associate Professor in the percussion department of Berklee College of Music, and the founder and owner of Jag Drums, manufacturers of quality African percussion instruments. Session Drum Implants
Using close microphone techniques at Wellspring Studios in Boston, this collection captures the most natural elements of a beautiful set of DW and Pearl Drumkits. Renowned studio engineer Coleman Rogers helped us sample this kit using his arsenal of great mics, pre-amps, and compressors. After 3 days and nights sampling every drum and every cymbal, using different sticks at different velocities, at different places on the drums, we came away with no less than 20 DAT tapes of incredible sounding drum samples.

Boston guitarist Jud Crane got us groovin' with his excellent Strat Guitar chops. After several days in the studio with his Classic Fender Strat with Seymour Duncan pickups and a Fender Vibrolux amp, we recorded a truly sweet guitar sound. Included are both individual tones and tons of chords. The tones file consists of multi-velocity mutes and tones that are so dynamic, they pop right off your fingers onto your guitar track.
There are also multiple chord articulations for funk, rock, songwriter, etc. guitar tracks. Nice and bright, these chords cut through in a mix. Keymapped in classic Sonic Implants style for easy playing and amazingly real sounding tracks. Chord types include: Major Triads, Minor Triads, Dominant Triads, Major Bar Chords, and Minor Bar Chords. Down strum, up strum, choked strum, and picked strum are included.
For our Creamy Fuzz Guitar, Sonic Implants programmer and guitarist Peter Drawbridge dialed up a sweet tone using his custom built Fender Strat through a Mesa Boogie, with Full Tone Soul Bender and Full Drive 2 pedals in between to smooth the tone. Multi-velocity and extremely playable. As with our regular Strat, Tones and Chords are included. The tones file consists of tones, mutes, harmonics and feedback. PLUS something new, Hammer-On Tones for the ultimate in soulful rock leads.
A huge collection of chords is also included. In the style of Rolling Stones guitars, Black Crows and other rockers, these chords have a little more edge to their tone, but not too much.
